Is there Parking?
There is free parking available at the Anderson Arena. Handicap and VIP parking is available (See ticket information for VIP tickets)
Do you accept credit cards?
The Box Office will accept all major credit cards, with valid ID. Food and drink vendors are cash only. Most craft and vendors at the festival will accept credit cards, but each merchant creates their own policy.
Is there a Military Discount?
Military discounts will be available at the door, the day of the event, with a valid military ID.
Can I bring my own food?
There will be several food vendors offering a wide variety of delectable options, and water fountains are available on site, however we do understand there may be a need to bring some food items into the event. Please note the following guidelines for bringing outside items into the event.
Allowable items include:
- One water bottle per guest (any size).
- Any food required for medical purposes and medically–indicated nutritional supplements
- Any food required for special dietary needs
- Baby food/baby formula
Prohibited Items Include:
- Picnic lunches
- Food that requires heating or refrigeration
- Alcohol and glass containers (excluding baby food jars)
- Coolers
Are Costumes / Weaponry Allowed?
Yes, you may attend in costume! Wearing a period costume helps add another layer of fun to the event. Shirts and shoes are required as part of all clothing requirements, including any costuming.
All weapons should be sheathed and peace-tied. You may not have exposed steel. Our security team at the entrance gate will assist you if you do not know how to peace tie your weapon. You may bring your bow if it is unstrung, or strung with yarn (or some other line that cannot hold tension). Arrows must be untipped and cable-tied together and secured to the quiver. May we bring a pet?
For your animal’s safety, pets are not permitted.
Service animals are welcome at DaVinci Con.
Service animals are limited to dogs that have been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times unless such leash or harness interferes with the service the animal is providing, or the handler is unable to use a leash or harness due to their special need.
Service animals are the responsibility of the owner and cannot be left unattended. Guests are responsible for the clean-up and for controlling their assistance animal’s behavior. If at any time, your service animal’s behavior becomes a threat to the safety and well-being of other park guests, the animal will be asked to leave the premises. All service animals must be housebroken.
Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA because they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task.
Is there Wheel chair access?
Yes, and additional provisions can be made for others with limited mobility.
Can I bring a stroller?
Yes, strollers and wagons of all sizes are welcome at the event
How should I dress?
DaVinci Con is an indoor event, and will go on rain or shine. Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended. Spring weather in the Shenandoah Valley can be unpredictable, so check the forecast for temperature, and prepare accordingly. Shirts and shoes are required.
Can I smoke or vape?
As an indoor event, no smoking or vaping is permitted by law. Smoking or vaping will be allowed outside, no less than 50 feet from exterior doors.
